The New Face of Monas: Transforming the Area to be Greener and Pedestrian-Friendly
The National Monument (Monas) area now appears with a fresh and lush new look. The revitalization project, which has been ongoing for several months, prioritized the addition of green open spaces and the improvement of pedestrian pathways. Thousands of new trees have been planted at various strategic points, creating a cooler atmosphere amidst the heat of Jakarta. Additionally, the southern plaza is now complete and ready to be used for various large-scale public events.Visitors can now enjoy wider and more comfortable jogging tracks, as well as more seating areas scattered under the shady trees. The Jakarta Provincial Government hopes that this revitalization will not only beautify the capital's icon but also improve air quality and comfort for both local and international tourists visiting.
