In an effort to support the smart city program and reduce cash usage, the Monas area now mandates cashless payments for all its facilities. Ranging from tower entrance tickets, bike rentals, to food purchases in the Lenggang Jakarta area, all transactions now use JakCard or QRIS.
This step was taken to increase financial transparency, speed up transactions, and reduce long queues at counters. For visitors who do not yet have an electronic money card, the management provides special counters for purchasing and topping up JakCard balances at the IRTI and West Gate entrances. Socialization has been carried out since a month ago to ensure this transition runs smoothly.
